The Rename-DhcpServerv4Superscope cmdlet renames a superscope. A superscope is an administrative feature of Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers. A superscope groups multiple scopes as a single administrative entity.

EXAMPLES

Example 1: Rename a superscope

PS C:\> Rename-DhcpServerv4Superscope -Name "Expanded B3 Network" -NewName "Expanded B3-1 Network" -ComputerName "DhcpServer01.Contoso.com"

This command renames the superscope named Expanded B3 Network to Expanded B3-1 Network on the DHCP named DhcpServer01.Contoso.com.

PARAMETERS

-AsJob

Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete. The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt. You can continue to work in the session while the job completes. To manage the job, use the *-Job cmdlets. To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet. For more information about Windows PowerShell® background jobs, see about_Jobs.
