Set-DhcpServerv4Class

Modifies an IPv4 vendor class or user class on the DHCP server service with the specified parameters.

Description

The Set-DhcpServerv4Class cmdlet modifies an IPv4 vendor class or user class on the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server service by using the specified parameters.

You must specify the Description or Data parameter.

Examples

Example 1: Set data for a user class

PS C:\> Set-DhcpServerv4Class -Name "User Class for Lab Computers" -Type User -Data "LabComputers"

This example sets the data for a DHCPv4 user class for lab computers to LabComputers.

Example 2: Set data for a vendor class

PS C:\> Set-DhcpServerv4Class -Name "MSUCClient" -Type Vendor -Data "MS-UC-Client"

This example sets the data for the DHCPv4 vendor class for Microsoft Unified Communication clients on the DHCP server service to MS-UC-Client.

Parameters

Specifies the maximum number of concurrent operations that can be established to run the cmdlet. The throttle limit applies only to the current cmdlet, not to the session or to the computer.
