The Recovery Wizard did not restore Exchange data to the original location

Problem   You receive the error “Preparing the component for restore failed.”

Features affected   Exchange Server 2007 data recovery.

Cause    One or more Exchange Server database filenames are duplicated. The Recovery Wizard cannot restore duplicate data stores to the original location.

Resolution    Restore the data to a different location. After you restore the data, rename the duplicate database, and then create a new backup.
