The registry settings for Forefront Security for Exchange Server were not applied.

Problem The registry settings for Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server (FSE) were not applied.
Features affected The virus protection for e-mail is installed, but it is not configured with the settings that are specific to Windows SBS 2008.
Solution To correctly configure Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server, you must manually apply the registry settings.

Pre-requisites Ensure that the following pre-requisites are completed:
- Exchange Server 2007 is installed. For instructions about how to install Exchange Server 2007, see “Exchange Server 2007 cannot be installed” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=119471).
- Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server is installed. For instructions about how to install Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server, see “Virus protection for e-mail cannot be installed” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=141983).
- The software update for Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server is applied. For instructions about how to apply it, see “The software update for virus protection for e-mail was not applied” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=120548).
- The template settings for Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server are applied. For instructions about how to apply the template settings, see “The template settings for Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server were not applied” at the Microsoft Web site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=119428).
Click Start, select All Programs, click Microsoft Forefront Server Security, click Exchange Server, and then click Forefront Server Security Administrator.
In the User Account Control window, click Continue.
In the Connect to Server window, select the server running Windows SBS 2008.
In the License Information window, click OK.
In the Forefront Server Security Administrator console, in the Settings section, apply the settings listed in the table below:

Click Save.
In the Operate section, ensure that VSAPI Background Scan Job is enabled and that the scan schedule is set to 4:00 A.M. daily.
