Problem   The software update for virus protection for e-mail was not applied.

Features Affected   The software update that enables the Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server administrators console to launch in the German version of Windows SBS 2008 was not applied correctly.

Solution   You must manually install the software update for Forefront Security for Exchange Server.

To manually install the software update for Forefront Security for Exchange Server

  1. Insert Windows SBS 2008 Disc 2 in the DVD drive.

  2. Change the directory to cmpnents\fss.

  3. Right click resetclientsid.exe, and then click Run as Administrator.

  4. In the User Account Control window, click Allow.

    Note

    You do not receive any confirmation screen after the software update is installed.
