Use the Depreciation book journal form to create depreciation book journals.

  1. Click Fixed assets > Journals > Depreciation book journal.

  2. Click New to create a line.

  3. In the Name field, select a journal.

  4. Enter information in other fields, as appropriate.

    Note

Some fields in the journal contain default values that are assigned to the journal from the Journal names form, and these fields usually cannot be modified.

  5. Click Lines. In the first line on the Overview tab of the Journal line form, enter values in the relevant fields. Some of the fields might be filled in automatically with values from fields in the Depreciation book journal form.

The lines are ready to be posted in the Journal line form.
