Create user profiles

User profiles can be created to match the different types of users who configure items with Product Builder. The user profiles are useful when you need to control which modeling variables a specific user can see, or change, during item configuration.

Note

This information applies only to Product builder.

  1. Click Product information management > Setup > Product builder > User profiles.

  2. Press CTRL+N or New to create a new line.

  3. In the User profile field, type the name for the user profile. Appropriate user profile names include Sales and Sales agent.

  4. Type the description of the user profile in the Description field.
