Alert me for options
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
When you create an alert rule, you can set up the rule so that it is triggered for all records, only the current record, or only records that match the selected filter. The records that are selected depend on the location from which you create the alert rule.
For example, you select a field in the Customers form and then create an alert rule. Depending on the Alert me for option that you select, the rule is triggered for all customers, only the current customer, or only customers who match the selected filter.
The following table provides examples of the records that are selected for a rule that you create from either a sales order or a sales order line.
