Copy a modeling variable setup

You can copy the setup for one modeling variable to another. The receiving variable must be created before you can start copying. For information about how to create a modeling variable, see Create modeling variables.

Note

This information applies only to Product builder.

Any user profiles or ranges that have already been defined for the receiving variable will be overwritten with new settings from the variable that you select to copy from.

  1. Click Product information management > Setup > Product builder > Modeling variables.

  2. Select the variable to copy from and then click Copy.

  3. In the Copy to field, select the variable to copy setup information to. The Message node field shows the name of the variable from which setup information will be copied.

  4. Click OK.
