Receive (form)

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Inventory management > Periodic > Transfer update > Receive.

Use this form to receive transfer orders. You can complete the following tasks only before transfer orders are received:

  • Add transfer order lines to receive.

  • Register items. To register items, click Inventory > Registration. You might register items if, for example, you want to specify a receipt location that differs from the receipt location that is specified in the Default receipt location field on the Warehouse management FastTab in the Warehouses form.

  • Specify the quantity to receive for each transfer order line. To specify a quantity, enter the quantity in the Receive now field on the Receive now tab in the Transfer orders form. To receive the transfer order that uses this quantity, you must select Receive now in the Update field in the upper pane of the Receive form.

  • Print product labels and shelf labels for transferred products when you receive the transfer order.

The upper pane of the form contains the parameter settings for each transfer order that is received. To select other transfer orders, click Select, and then specify criteria to include other transfer order lines.

The lower pane of the form displays the transfer order lines. When you select the Edit lines check box, and you select an update option in the Update field, the valid lines for that update appear.

The scrapped quantity is automatically entered in the Inventory adjustment journal. The ledger posting and inventory transaction are then performed just as if the adjustment had been created directly from the Inventory adjustment inventory journal.

The following steps occur:
