Relation types (form)

Click Sales and marketing > Setup > Prospects > Relation types.

Use this form to create and maintain types of prospect relations. You can create any kind of prospect relation type, such as:

  • Customer

  • Vendor

  • Lead

  • Opportunity

  • Competitor

Defining relation types depends on the work processes of your organization.

When you create a new prospect in the Prospect details form, the system proposes the prospect type that is set as the default value in Sales and marketing parameters form.

Note

You can have only one customer type and one vendor type. These relation types correspond to data in the Customer and Vendor tables.

Table source

The source table for the prospect. The three options, which depend on the prospect type, are as follows:

  • Customer: Customer table

  • Vendor: Vendor table

  • All others: Relation table

Delete converted prospect

Select this check box to delete a prospect record when the prospect is converted to a customer or a vendor.
