Description |
---|---|
Scheduling direction |
Specify the desired scheduling direction for the production order. The following options are available:
|
Scheduling date |
Enter the date that will be used for the scheduling direction Forward from scheduling date or Backward from scheduling date. Scheduling is then made backward or forward from that date. |
Time |
Select the time to base scheduling on when Scheduling date is selected as the scheduling direction. |
Cancel queue time |
Select to omit queue time in the schedule. |
Cancel setup |
Select to omit setup time in the schedule. |
Cancel process |
Select to omit run time in the schedule. |
Cancel overlap |
Select to omit overlap time in the schedule. |
Cancel transport |
Select to omit transit time in the schedule. |
Schedule references |
Select this check box to schedule the attached underlying or overlying productions according to the main production. In relation to the current production, overlying productions will be scheduled forward, and the underlying productions will be scheduled backwards. Production order references can be viewed in the Reference level field in the Production orders form. |
Synchronize references |
Select this check box to schedule the productions that are related to the production specified in the Production field based on the production's starting and ending times. This check box is available only when the Schedule references check box is selected. When you are job scheduling, you can also specify a job identification. The other jobs for the current production and reference productions will then be scheduled according to this job. For more information about job scheduling, see Production - Job scheduling (class form). |
Finite capacity |
Select this check box if you want the job scheduling to include capacity limits. |
Finite material |
Select this check box if you want the scheduling to consider materials as finite. If the materials are finite, the coverage of material for that time is considered. Scheduling considers the item futures dates for the items and reserves the raw materials and explodes the current production. If scheduling occurs more than one time, only the first scheduling will explode the production and make reservations. If you make changes in the bill of materials or route for the production, the next scheduling runs an explosion. The explosion is based on the calculation of materials that are required on the scheduling date. Because the production is not scheduled at the time of the master schedule explosion, the current date is used as the best estimate of when the items will become available. The explosion checks whether the items are on hand. If the items are not on hand by the current date, a planned order is generated and an offset selection is made for the planned order. If automatic-firming is set up for the planned order, the planned order is firmed automatically for purchase or production. The status for production automatically changes to the status specified in the Requested production status field in the Coverage group form. Clear the check box if you want the materials to always be considered on hand. |
Finite property |
Select this check box if you want the job scheduling to include property requirements. |
Keep production unit |
Select if the scheduling engine will only schedule resources that are already specified on the production unit. |
Keep warehouse from resource |
Select if the scheduling engine will only schedule resources that are associated with the input warehouse specified on the resource. |
