Campaigns (form)

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Campaigns > All campaigns. Double-click the campaign record to view.

Use this form to create campaigns and maintain campaign progress.

A campaign targets the contacts for prospects, leads, opportunities, and customers that have been selected to participate in the campaign.

View or add an attachment to the campaign record.

Create e-mail group

Create an email group for the campaign.

Mail merge file

Open the Mailing file form, where you can create a mail file for the campaign targets.

Call list

Create a call list of the campaign targets.

Sales quotations

Create a sales quotation for the campaign.

Project quotations

Create a project quotation for the campaign.

Web response

Send a broadcast email message to all of the campaign targets.

E-mail distribution

Open the E-mail distribution form, where you can send an email message to one or more recipients regarding the campaign.

Mail merge file

Open the Campaign mail merge file form, where you can create a mail merge file for the campaign.

Media

Set up or adjust the registered campaign media types.

Collaboration workspace URL

Create a collaboration workspace, or link the campaign to an existing collaboration workspace.

Responsibilities

Open the Responsibilities form, where you can view or assign employees to the campaign.

SWOT analysis

Open the SWOT analysis form, where you can view or perform a SWOT analysis for the campaign.

Project

Connect this campaign to an existing project, or create a new project to connect the campaign to.

All leads

Open the All leads list page, where you can view lead records that are included in the campaign.

All opportunities

Open the All opportunities list page, where you can view opportunity records that are included in the campaign.

Projects

View projects that are included in the campaign.

Call list

View call lists that are included in the campaign.

Questionnaires

Create a questionnaire, or view an existing questionnaire for the campaign.

Description

Select targets

Open the Campaign target contacts form, where you can select contact targets for the campaign.

Distribute

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Responsibilities distribution – Distribute campaign targets to workers.

  • Clear distribution – Clear the target distribution.

  • By main responsible on prospect – Assign the active prospect campaign targets to the worker who is responsible for the prospect.

  • By main responsible on customer – Assign the active customer campaign targets to the worker who is responsible for the customer.

  • By main responsible on vendor – Assign the active vendor campaign targets to the worker who is responsible for the vendor.

  • By main responsible on contact – Assign the active contact campaign targets to the worker who is responsible for the contact.

  • By responsibilities on prospect – Select a responsibility for the prospect. If the responsibility is assigned to a worker, the campaign target will be assigned to the worker.

  • By responsibilities on customer – Select a responsibility for the customer. If the responsibility is assigned to a worker, the campaign target will be assigned to the worker.

  • By responsibilities on vendor – Select a responsibility for the vendor. If the responsibility is assigned to the worker, the campaign target will be assigned to the worker.

Questionnaire

View the questionnaire for the selected campaign target.

Generate

Generate a new lead or opportunity record for the selected target.

This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Related information

View party record information that is related to the selected campaign target.

Fields

Field

Description

Campaign ID

The identification number that is assigned to the campaign.

Parent campaign

The name of the parent campaign.

Campaign type

View or select whether this campaign is internal or external to your organization.

Name

View or enter the name of the campaign.

Owner

View or select the employee who is responsible for the campaign.

Campaign process

View or select the campaign process that this campaign will follow.

Group

The name of the group that is assigned to this campaign.

Target

View or select the target types for the campaign.

Follow-up date

Select the date on which a follow-up activity will be initiated for the campaign.

The follow-up date is set by default to the campaign start date plus the number of days that are set in the Days before follow-up field on the Campaigns tab in the Sales and marketing parameters form.

Project

The identifier of the project that the campaign was created for.

Call list ID

The identifier of the call list that is being used in this campaign.

Questionnaire

The identifier of the questionnaire to be used in this campaign.

Subcampaign ID format

The format to be used for this subcampaign.

Reason canceled

The reason that the campaign was canceled.

Internal URL

View or enter the URL for the internal collaboration workspace.

External URL

View or enter the URL for the external collaboration workspace.

Source code

View or enter a source code that is associated with the campaign. For more information, see Set up catalog source codes.

Trade allowance ID

View or enter a trade allowance that is associated with the campaign. For more information, see Trade allowance management.

Target

View or enter notes about the campaign targets.

Target group

View or enter notes about the campaign target group.

Name

View or select the email template to be used for this campaign.

Subject

The subject of the email message.

E-mail text

The text of the email message. The text becomes the body of the message in Microsoft Outlook when the email message is sent.

The default email text for the email template and category is set up and maintained on the Template tab in the E-mail template form.

Responded

Select this check box if the contact has responded to the campaign.

Contact ID

The identification number that is assigned to the contact.

Name

The name of the campaign contact.

Contact for:

The name of the organization that the contact is the contact for.

Owner

Select the employee who is responsible for initiating a follow-up procedure based on the campaign.

Planned date

The planned date for distributing the campaign to the selected campaign target.

Broadcast type

The method that was used if the campaign has been distributed to the selected campaign target.

Broadcast date

The date on which the campaign was distributed.

Response type

View or select the response type that was received from the selected campaign target.
