Click System administration > Setup > Licensing > License information.
Use this form to enter license codes and to view the name of the license holder, the serial number for the system, and the expiration date for the system. If you are using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or AX 2012 R2, you can also use this form to enable and disable license codes.
To use Microsoft Dynamics AX, you must enter license codes manually or import the license file by clicking Load license file. You can also examine the Status field to see that each code is verified. The necessary information is supplied in your license document.
Note
License codes and configuration keys are not part of the licensing model for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. They are used only to enable and disable functionality. For more information about licensing in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, see the Pricing and licensing guide and the Software licensing terms.

Enter the seven-character license code. For security reasons, the characters you enter are displayed as asterisks. |
Status |
The status of the license code. The field displays OK for valid license codes. A certificate symbol is also displayed to the right of this field for valid codes. Sometimes this field displays a number, such as the maximum number of users. (You can determine what the number is based on the Code description.) |
Enabled |
A selected checkbox indicates that the license code is enabled. Clear the checkbox to disable the functionality that is associated with the license code. This option is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Edition |
The license edition that includes the license code. |
Edition/License Model |
The license edition or license model that includes the license code. |
