Updated: March 23, 2011

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Use this form to display the phone number of an inbound or outbound call.

If the number is that of a registered contact person, the registered data (name, title, and the prospect) of this person will display. The start time and the total duration of the call are also displayed.

If the person you are trying to reach is unavailable, for example, the line is busy or you are put on hold, a label with the text Busy  Line or On Hold will appear above the Hang up button.

The call is also automatically registered as an activity for the current user.

You can take notes in the memo field while talking, but be aware that the text entered in the memo field will not be saved.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Answer/ Hang up

Answer an incoming phone call or end a current phone call (Hang up).

This button is labeled Answer whenever there is an inbound call. This label changes to Hang up when you have selected the button (accepting the call).

The button remains in this state, allowing you to hang up, until the call has finished.
