Futures messages details (form)

Click Master planning > Reports > Coverage > Futures.

Use this form to view all item requirements that carry a futures message. The futures messages were calculated during the last master scheduling.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Description

Overview tab

View a list of item requirements and the corresponding futures messages that were calculated.

General tab

View additional information for the selected item requirement. This includes order details.

Futures

View basic information about the selected item requirement and the corresponding futures message details.

Filter

Filter and define the criteria and date range of the item requirements that are displayed on the Overview tab.

Fields

Field

Description

Item number

Shows the item number for the current item.

Configuration

Select an item configuration to specify an item with specific attributes.

Site

Enter the site in which you will store your items.

Warehouse

Enter the warehouse in which you will store your items.

Desired date

Shows the original delivery date or the requirement date used when calculating the futures dates.

Futures

The futures message result.

Days

Shows the number of days relative to the requirement date that the transaction is delayed to comply with the futures messages.

To date

Shows the requirement date extended by the calculated futures days.

Reference

Shows the origin of the transfer.

Number

Identification of sales, purchases, productions, and so on, in the Reference field that the line refers to.

Master plan

Shows the Master plan from which the data is derived.

Dimension No.

Identification of the inventory dimension number for the selected item.

Supply forecast

Indicates if the planned order was generated based on the purchase forecast.

Requested date

The delivery date originally desired (requirement date).

Requirement date

Shows the requirement date for the current transaction. This includes the delivery date for the sales order, the planned ending date for the production order, and the forecast date for the forecast lines, adjusted by any safety margin.

Requirement time

The time that the item is required.

Requested quantity

The original requirement quantity.

Req. quantity

Shows the total requirement quantity in the inventory unit attached to the transaction.

Coverage planned

Shows the quantity currently coverage-planned for the transfer.

Coverage status

The coverage status of the quantity.

Suborder

Indicates if the planned order was derived from the BOM line type.

With futures messages

This field is checked if the transfer has futures messages.

Futures date

The date that the requirement can be met according to the futures message.

Futures time

The time that the requirement can be met according to the futures message.

Futures days

The number of days the transaction is delayed.

Inquiries

Open the following submenu items:

  • Net requirements – view the current requirement profile for the item and the corresponding futures messages.

  • Explosion – view item components and the corresponding futures messages.

Inventory

Open the following submenu items:

  • On-hand – view item availability.

  • Dimensions display – select which item dimensions to display in the form.
