Create journal descriptions

You can create journal descriptions to use in hour and fee journals. A journal description is a defined block of text that is inserted in the Description field in the journal lines forms when you type the description identifier in the field. Journal descriptions are typically created for each month, such as “January hours,” “January fees,” and so on. You might choose different descriptions if you use journals to track hours and fees in other ways.

  1. Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Journals > Journal descriptions.

  2. In the Journal descriptions form, click New and enter an identifier, a search name, and a journal description.
