Set up project journal options

This topic describes how to set up options that control how journal entries that are used by projects are created. You set up options separately for the following types of journals:

  • Hour, fee, and beginning balance journals

  • Expense journals

  • Item journals

Hour, Fee, and Beginning balance journals

  1. Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Journals > Journal names.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter information in the fields on the General FastTab to specify your journal options.

Expense journals

  1. Click General ledger > Setup > Journals > Journal names.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter information in the fields on the General FastTab to specify your journal options.

Item journals

  1. Click Inventory management > Setup > Journals > Journal names, inventory.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter information in the fields on the General FastTab and Store inventory FastTab to specify your journal options.
