Cost price - hour (form)

Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Prices > Cost price (hour).

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. On the Action Pane, on the Plan tab, in the Cost prices group, click Hours.

Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > Project contracts. On the Action Pane, on the Project contract tab, in the Cost prices group, click Hours.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project resources > Resources. On the Action Pane, on the Project resource tab, in the Maintain group, click Cost prices, and then click Cost price - hour.

Use this form to set up a cost price per hour transaction.
You can set up a standard cost price for the project category, or you can set up a cost price by worker number, project number, category, date, or any combination thereof. The cost price that is applied is the cost price with the highest level of detail.
Example
If a general cost price and a worker-specific cost price are set up, the system selects the worker-specific cost price when the worker enters transactions in the Hour journal.

Effective date |
Enter the beginning date for when the cost price applies. |
Effective labor rate |
If a check appears in this box, the option to calculate hourly costs as an effective labor rate has been enabled for the selected worker in the Project setup form. Note In order for an effective labor rate to be calculated, the worker must also be assigned a period code in the Project setup form. Note This control is available only if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed. |
Category |
Select the category that the cost price is associated with. |
Worker |
Enter the worker ID to be associated with the current cost price. Worker numbers are maintained in the Worker form in the Human resources module. |
Project ID |
Select the project that the cost price is associated with. |
Cost price |
Enter the cost price of the unit. |
