Create a sales order for a project [AX 2012]

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

  1. Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects.

  2. On the All projects list page, select or open a time and material project.

  3. On the Action Pane, on the Manage tab, in the New group, click Item task, and then click Sales order.

  4. In the Create sales order form, enter and modify the settings as appropriate, and then click OK.

  5. In the Sales order form, on the Action Pane, on the Sales order tab, in the Show group, click Line view.

  6. In the Sales order lines table, click Add line, and then enter the information that you want for the line.

  7. On the Line details FastTab, enter additional information as appropriate.

  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for each order line that you want to add to the sales order.

Tip Tip

To add multiple sales order lines at the same time, in the Sales order lines table, click Add lines to open the Create lines form for sales orders. For more information, see (PM) Create sales lines (form).
