Default value model

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Select the value model that is used most often for the default value model. This model is suggested every time that you create a record in the posting profile or when a value model is assigned to a new fixed asset. The default value model is also suggested every time that a fixed asset transaction is entered on a journal line, a purchase order, or a free text invoice.

You can change this value when it is suggested.

Value models are controlled by logic. Therefore, a default value model is not suggested if it is not a logical choice for a particular fixed asset transaction. For example, it is not suggested for a fixed asset transaction if the fixed asset or value model has already been disposed of, or if the value model does not exist for the particular fixed asset.
