Email templates (form)

Click Sales and marketing > Setup > Campaigns > E-mail template.

Use this form to set up e-mail templates to use in sales campaigns.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tab	Description
Template	View or enter the message text for the e-mail template.

Field	Description
Name	The name of the e-mail template.
Subject	The subject of the e-mail message. This text appears in the Subject field when you use Microsoft Outlook to send the e-mail message.
E-mail text	Enter the text of the e-mail message. This is the body text of the e-mail message when you use Microsoft Outlook to send the e-mail message.
Variables to be used in the e-mail template field group	You can use these variables in the E-mail text field on the Template FastTab. The system automatically enters the correct data into the e-mail message text, such as a contact person's name, the campaign number, or a URL. %PERSONNAME% – The name of the contact person of the prospect who is targeted in the campaign. The system automatically fills in the name of the contact person to whom the e-mail message is sent. %CAMPAIGN% – The ID number of the current campaign. %URL% – This URL is obtained from the External URL field in the Campaigns area in Sales and marketing parameters form.
