You can generate the order's total discount percentage by entering a total discount percentage in the Total discount % field in Sales order form. You can also generate the order’s total discount percentage by clicking Total discount on the Sell tab on the Action Pane. This calculates the total discount percentage and transfers it to the Total discount % field.

Note

This method of calculation requires a valid trade agreement with a type of total discount to be created by using the Journal lines, price/discount agreement form. You can specify a trade agreement of with a type of total discount for one customer, a group of customers (a total discount group), or for all customers. If a total discount group has been set up for the customer, it is transferred from the customer's information to the sales order when you create the order. You can also specify the total discount group manually on the sales order in the Total discount group field. For more information, see Activate sales price/discount (form).
