About Location Finder

If your computer has wireless capability, you can use Location Finder to display your location on a map. Location Finder uses the locations of known Wireless Positioning Systems (WPS) to calculate your location. Because this technology depends on the presence of known wireless access points and abstracts locations from that data, it is less accurate than other location technologies, such as GPS, and it is more likely to be available in urban areas.
