Clear the map

You can only have a single MapPoint map file open at a time; therefore, in order to clear a map, you must replace it with a new map.

To save a map that you are clearing

  1. Save any changes you want to keep on the current map.

    How?

  2. On the File menu, click New, and then double-click the template upon which you want to base your new map.

To clear a map without saving it

  1. On the File menu, click New, and then double-click the template upon which you want to base your new map.
  2. When you are prompted as to whether you want to save changes to the current map, click No.
