Import a custom symbol

  1. On the Drawing toolbar, click the arrow next to Create Pushpin Create Pushpin button.

Note  If the Drawing toolbar is not visible, on the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Drawing.

  2. Click Import Custom Symbol (you may have to scroll up to see this button).

  3. In the Look in text box, type or select the name of the folder that contains your custom symbol.

  4. Click the file name of the custom symbol, and then click Open.

Your custom symbol is imported into MapPoint and added to the list of available symbols. You can use a custom symbol the same way as any standard Pushpin symbol.

Tip  You can place icons, pictures, graphics, logos, or formatted text on your maps by importing them as custom symbols. Import the custom graphic and place it anywhere on your map. When you save the map, the Pushpin is saved along with the map and is visible the next time you open the map file.
