This topic applies to features in the Inventory management module. It does not apply to features in the Warehouse management module.

Click Inventory management > Common > Picking routes.

Use this form to manage the picking routes.

The Pick form is used for consolidated guided picking where the route is sorted by location. This could be, for example, that the nearest is prioritized first and then the remaining according to proximity.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form:

Filtering of records is carried out in the Criteria area.

Personnel number

Enter a personnel number to filter picking routes assigned to a particular personnel number.

Select a warehouse ID to filter picking routes for a particular warehouse.

Create picking pallet

Create a new picking pallet. When you create a picking pallet for a picking route, Microsoft Dynamics AX remembers the picking pallet's attachment if you leave the screen and come back later to the same picking route.

Cancel picking route

Cancel all lines in the picking route. If one or more lines have already been picked and the Handling status for the lines is Picked or an even later status, you cannot cancel the route.

Deliver picked items

Manually deliver picked items and specify where you want picked items to be delivered after picking. The status of each line changes according to the setup stage that you have defined in the Outbound rules. The program automatically removes any lines that have been delivered and highlights the next items to be delivered.

Note   If you have set up the outbound rules to deliver picked items, the Deliver picked items form appears, where you can confirm the delivery
