Bar code number sequence

This number sequence allocates bar codes to the fixed assets in this group when the fixed asset is created or when the periodic job, Assign fixed asset number to bar code, is started, depending on the setup of bar code options in the General ledger parameters from. When Bar code equals fixed asset number is selected, bar codes are assigned automatically when a fixed asset is created. When this check box is not selected, the bar codes are assigned to the fixed assets when the Assign fixed asset number to bar code periodic job has been completed.
Note
The Autonumber bar codes and Bar code number sequence fields are used only if a fixed asset group-specific number sequence for bar coding is required. If those fields are blank, the default bar code process is used, and the default number sequence for assigning numbers to fixed assets, which is set up in the General ledger parameters form, is used for bar coding, also.
