Absence setup (form)

Click Human resources > Setup > Absence > Absence setup.

Use this form to create absence setups that you can use to control how workers register absences.

For each absence setup, you can specify the following:

  • The period in which a worker can register absences

  • Who will approve absences

  • Whether absences are entered in terms of days or hours

In order to register an absence, each worker must be associated with an absence setup. You can associate a worker with an absence setup in the Worker form. For more information, see Worker (form).

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Absence setup

Enter a unique name for the absence setup.

Description

Enter a description of the absence setup.

Unit

Select the length of the period in which absences must be registered from the following options:

  • Calendar month – The period is the length of one calendar month.

  • Calendar week – The period is the length of one calendar week.

  • Month (Fixed dates) – Enter the date when the period will start in the Start date field.

  • No period – Journals for absences are created upon absence registration.

Start date

Enter the date when the period will start. This field is only available if you selected Month (Fixed dates) in the Unit field.

Person in charge

Select the person who is responsible for approving absences registered by all workers associated with the absence setup.

Working time

Select the period in which absences will be registered from the following options:

  • Days – Absences are registered per day.

  • Hours – Absences are registered per hour.
