Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Server setup wizard (class form)

Use this wizard to set up a one-to-one relationship between workers and the user logon identification and to synchronize worker activities with Outlook or Microsoft Exchange Server.

Support for integration with Microsoft Exchange Server is available only in AX 2012 R3 Cumulative Update 8 and later.

Employee setup

Select the worker and user ID for the relationship. If you are integrating with Exchange Server in AX 2012 R3 CU8, enter the settings that you will use to log in to Exchange Server.

Microsoft Outlook synchronization

This control is available only in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to AX 2012 R3 Cumulative Update 8.

Select the types of synchronization that you want to create and the time period during which you want data to be synchronized.

Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Server synchronization

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

Use the Outlook or Exchange Server profile of the selected worker.

Pick contact Microsoft Outlook folder

This control is available only in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to AX 2012 R3 Cumulative Update 8.

Select the contact folder from Microsoft Outlook that you want to synchronize with Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Pick contact folder

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

Select the contact folder from Outlook or Exchange Server that you want to synchronize with Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Pick task Microsoft Outlook folder

Clear Microsoft Outlook folders

This control is available only in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to AX 2012 R3 Cumulative Update 8.

Clear all the Outlook folders that are used for synchronization.

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

Clear all the Outlook or Exchange Server folders that are used for synchronization.

Worker

Select the worker that you want to set up.

User ID

Select the user ID that you want to attach to the worker.

Exchange Server URL

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

If you are synchronizing with Exchange Server, enter the URL of the Exchange Server implementation.

Exchange Server login ID

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

If you are synchronizing with Exchange Server, enter your logon ID. This is usually your work email address.

Exchange Server password

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

If you are synchronizing with Exchange Server, enter the password you use to sign in to your Exchange Server account.

Microsoft Office Outlook user identification

This control is available only in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to AX 2012 R3 Cumulative Update 8.

View the selected user ID.

User identification

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

View the selected user ID.

Microsoft Outlook contact folder name

This control is available only in versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 prior to AX 2012 R3 Cumulative Update 8.

View the selected contact folder.

Contact folder name

This control is available only if AX 2012 R3 CU8 or later is installed.

Select the number of days before today that you want to begin synchronization.

Select the number of days after today that you want to end synchronization.
