E-mail sending status (form)

Click System administration > Periodic > E-mail processing > E-mail sending status.

Use this form to view the status of outgoing email messages. By default, the list shows email messages that have not yet been sent. However, you can also view email messages that were sent successfully.

From this form, you can also display an email message and restart the Retry schedule if a message was not sent through Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Restart send

Restart sending the selected email message by resetting the Retry schedule.

If the system has not sent the selected email message according to the Retry schedule, you can click the Restart send button to restart the Retry schedule.

Example

You set up the retry schedule to send the email message after 1 minute, 1 hour, and 5 hours. None of the three tries was successful. Therefore, the system has stopped trying. When you click Restart send, the system will start again and try to send the email message after 1 minute, 1 hour, and 5 hours.

Show message

Display the email message body, sender, recipients, and subject of the email message.

Created date time

The date and time when the email message was created.

Latest status change date time

The date and time when the email sending status changed.

Status

The current status of the email message:

  • Sent

  • Waiting

  • Failed

The Waiting status is followed by a number "n" in parentheses, such as 1. This number indicates the number of unsuccessful attempts to send the email message, according to the retry schedule. The number cannot be more than the number of retry entries in the Retry schedule form.

E-mail description

The description of the email message, such as the email description that is specified in the Alerts template.

User ID

The ID of the user who sent the email message.

E-mail recipients

The email address of the recipient.
