Task list (form)

Use this form to determine the status of tasks in a checklist. Click a link in the checklist to open the appropriate form and start the task.

The following table describes the icons used in the checklist.

Checklist icon for optional task

This task is ready to run, but it is optional.

If the task is necessary for your system, click the link to start the task.

If the task is not necessary for your system, you can skip the task by clicking the Mark as complete link next to the task.

Checklist icon for required task

This task is ready to run, and it is required. You must run this task to complete the checklist.

Checklist icon for dependent task

This task is dependent on other tasks and can only be run when the other tasks are completed.

Checklist icon for completed task

This task is finished. However, you can click the link to run the task again.

Get help on a task

Click the Help link next to a checklist task to get specific information about that task.

In addition, each task link opens a form. For more information about a specific form, click F1 with the form open.

Perform checklist tasks again

You can repeat tasks in the checklist that have been completed. When you repeat a task, a dialog box appears that asks you if you want to reset all the dependent tasks in the checklist.

  • If you click Yes, the checklist changes those dependent tasks to their uncompleted state, and you must complete them again.

  • If you click No, the state of the dependent tasks does not change.

After you complete the checklist

When you complete the checklist, you can select the Prevent startup of the checklist check box so that the checklist does not open every time that you start the client.
