Copy rules (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click Product information management > Setup > Product builder > Global rules. Click Validation. In the Rules form, click Copy.
Use this form to copy the current rule clause to a specific rule version (for global validation rules) or product model (for local validation rules).

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Local/Global |
Select whether the current rule is copied to a local validation rule or a global validation rule. |
Product model number |
If you selected Local in the Local/Global field, specify the number of the product model to which the rule clause is being copied. Note This field is not available if you select Global, because you do not have to specify a product model number for global validation rules. |
Rule set number |
If you selected Global in the Local/Global field, specify the number of the rule version to which the rule clause is being copied. Note This field is not available if you select Local, because you do not have to specify a rule version number for local validation rules. |
