When a new activity is created, Microsoft Dynamics AX automatically generates a unique activity number. The activity number cannot be changed.

If the activity is synchronized with Microsoft Outlook, the Activity number field is transferred as text to the Microsoft Outlook task or appointment.

Group activities

When a worker creates an activity, that worker is the organizer of the activity.

If the organizer adds other workers to the activity as attendees, separate activities are automatically generated for each worker. Each activity has a unique activity number.

The activity number is displayed on the General FastTab in the Activities (form).
