Updated: July 14, 2011

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click File > Tools > Session date and time.

Use this form to change the date for the current client session. The following list provides examples of some processes or areas of Microsoft Dynamics AX that are affected when you change the client session date:

  • The posting date in all modules

  • The invoice date and associated due date

  • The statistics period in which the current transaction is updated

NoteNote

If you change the date for the client session to make temporary changes, remember to reset the date afterward.

System fields in the database (for example, CreatedDateTime and ModifiedDateTime) use the computer date, not the Microsoft Dynamics AX session date.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.
