Session date and time (form)

Click File > Tools > Session date and time.

Use this form to change the date for the current client session. The following list provides examples of some processes or areas of Microsoft Dynamics AX that are affected when you change the client session date:

  • The posting date in all modules

  • The invoice date and associated due date

  • The statistics period in which the current transaction is updated

Note

If you change the date for the client session to make temporary changes, remember to reset the date afterward.

System fields in the database (for example, CreatedDateTime and ModifiedDateTime) use the computer date, not the Microsoft Dynamics AX session date.

Description

Current date and time

The current date and time, displayed in the preferred time zone.

Session date and time

The date and time for this session. Use these controls to temporarily change the session date and time. These values are reset when the client is closed.
