Budget model (form)

Click Budgeting > Setup > Basic budgeting > Budget models.
Use this form to create the budget models and submodels that are the basis for the structure of the ledger budgets.
If you have several model and submodel structures, you can create several budgets, run simulations, and compare budget results.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

General |
View or specify information about the selected budget model. |
Submodel |
Add or remove submodels for the selected budget model. Note Submodels must be created as budget models before they can be attached to a budget model. A budget model that has submodels attached to it cannot be entered as a submodel. |

Budget model |
A unique identifier for the budget model. |
Name |
The name of the budget model. |
Stopped |
Select this check box to block the budget model and all associated ledger budgets for modification. When the budgets that are based on the budget model are approved, you can select this check box to prevent changes to the budgets. |
Cash flow forecasts |
Select this check box to indicate that the ledger budgets that are created from the budget model are used in the cash flow forecast. Note The decision to include these budgets in the cash flow forecast can be reversed on the individual ledger budgets. |
Submodel |
The identifier of a submodel that is attached to the selected budget model. Note You can add each submodel that you want to attach to the budget model. You must first create the submodel as a budget model in this form before you add it as a submodel to another budget model. |
