Status for number sequences (form)

Click Organization administration > Common > Number sequences > Number sequences. Select a number sequence, and then click Status list.

Use this form to view the numbers that have been generated for continuous number sequences, but that have not been committed to the database. Numbers are listed if they are currently used in a user session, reserved for future use, or free for use by client sessions that require a new number. Numbers that have been used are not listed.

Overview

View an overview of the active, free, and blocked numbers in the selected number sequence.

General

View the status of the selected number.

Description

Number sequence code

The identification code for the number sequence.

Formatted number

The number, in the format in which it appears on the document or record.

Unformatted number

The part of the number sequence format that changes with each document or record. For example, if the formatted number on an invoice is INV-000050, the unformatted number is 000050.

Status

The current status of the number. A number can have one of the following statuses:

  • Free – The number is used automatically the next time that it is needed.

  • Active – The number is used in an active update.

  • Stopped – The number sequence has been stopped.

  • Reserved – The number is reserved.

User

The user who created the document or the record that uses the number.

Modified date and time

The date and time when the owner of the current transaction logged on.

Action

The action that was performed on the number sequence.
