Field

Description

Line property

The line property identifier.

The line property identifier is limited to 10 characters but should reflect the purpose of the line property. For example, if transactions that designate a specific line property become chargeable, you may want to name the line property Chargeable.

Name

Enter a descriptive name for the current line property. The name can be up to 60 characters long.

Chargeable

Select this check box if transactions with this line property can be invoiced. The Chargeable line property applies to time-and-material projects only.

Accrue revenue

Select this check box if accrued revenue can be posted to transactions with this line property before invoicing. Posting accrued revenue applies to time-and-material projects only.

NoteNote

If you select a line property other than Chargeable but select the Accrue revenue check box, revenue will not accrue. This is because the line property setting takes precedence over the accrue revenue setting.

Capitalize cost

Select this check box if costs can be capitalized to balance accounts when transactions with this line property are posted. Capitalizing costs to balance accounts can be applied to time-and-material projects, fixed-price projects, investment projects, and internal projects.

Cost percentage

Enter the percentage to be added to the original cost price. This applies to project hour transactions only.

Sales percentage

Enter the percentage to be added to the regular sales price. This applies to project hour transactions only.

On invoice

Select this check box to display transactions that have a sales line amount of 0 (zero) on the printed invoice proposals and invoices.

On quotation

Efficient hours

Select this check box to count the transaction hours as efficient when you calculate the utilization rate. This applies to project hour transactions only.
