More dimensions [AX 2012]

You can change the current definition of the Department, Cost center, and Purpose dimensions. You can also increase or decrease the number of dimensions. However, to guarantee uniform tracking, you must decide how dimensions will be used before you start working with them in the system.


You can define your dimensions as follows:

  • Department – The sales department

  • Cost center – The retail sales group

  • Purpose – The number of the sales representative

By using this setup, you can analyze the sales progress of individual sales representatives in the company.
