The BOM approval configuration key controls access to the forms and functions that you can use to maintain the active bill of materials (BOM) version. If you enable the BOM approval key, you can control whether a BOM version must be approved first before it can be activated.
Important
The BOM and BOM version key must be enabled in order to enable the BOM approval key. If this key is disabled, you can activate a BOM version at any time.
You can enable or disable this key in the License configuration form.
