Withholding tax limits (form)
Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
Click General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax > Withholding tax codes. Select a withholding tax code and then click Limits.
Use this form to define limits for withholding tax amounts for the selected withholding tax code.
Calculated withholding taxes that are less than the minimum limit are dropped. Calculated withholding taxes that exceed the maximum limit are set to the maximum.
The limits can be set up for specific date intervals.

Fields

Description |

From date |
The first date on which the withholding tax limits apply. The posting date determines which limit interval is used. If the limits change, you can close the old period by specifying a date in the To date field and creating a new period. |
To date |
The last date on which the withholding tax limits apply. If you leave this field blank, the limit will apply forward from the date indicated in the From date field. The posting date determines which limit interval is used. If the limits change, you can close the old period by specifying a date in the To date field and creating a new period. |
Minimum amount |
The minimum withholding tax amount that can be posted for any transaction for the selected withholding tax code. If the calculated withholding tax is less than this amount, no withholding tax is posted. |
Upper amount |
The maximum withholding tax amount that can be posted for any transaction for the selected withholding tax code. If the calculated withholding tax exceeds this amount, the withholding tax is adjusted to this amount and posted. |
Withholding tax code |
The withholding tax code to which the limits apply. This is the withholding tax code that was selected in the Withholding tax codes form. |
