Answer groups (form) [AX 2012]

Click Home > Common > Questionnaires > Design > Answer groups.

Use this form to create and manage answer groups, which contain the possible answers to a question on a questionnaire. When answering a question on a questionnaire, the respondent selects from the answers that you create in the answer group.

Examples of answer groups are:

  • Very satisfied, Satisfied, Somewhat satisfied, Unsatisfied, Very unsatisfied

  • Very important, Important, Not important

  • Yes, No

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.




Open the Answers form to create or view the answers in the selected answer group.


Open the Questions form to create or view the questions that the answer group is associated with.



Answer group

Enter a unique name for the answer group.


Enter a description for the answer group.


Select this check box to display answers for this group in a random order on the questionnaire.
