Click Home > Common > Document management > Knowledge articles.

Use this form to collect and store information about cases and solutions for customers, vendors and employees. You can categorize the article files and links to these articles into folders based on your information needs.

Tip

The Knowledge article form supports files, Web links, audio/video clips, presentations, and graphics files. You can preview the list of files in the form or you can open them in a separate program.

Add a new knowledge article. This button can be used only when you are adding a knowledge article to an existing folder.

Open file

Open the selected knowledge article.

Send...

Send the knowledge article document or link in an e-mail message.

The knowledge article element is included as an attachment in the e-mail message.

If you entered a subject and a memo in the Description fields, this information is automatically included in the e-mail message.

Send to group

Send an e-mail message to a predefined e-mail group. For more information about how to create an e-mail group, see Create e-mail groups.

Description

Knowledge article item ID

The knowledge article’s identification. This number is automatically created when you create a new article.

Parent ID

The identification of the knowledge article folder that the article is stored in.

Document

The name of the knowledge article.

Internet address

The URL for a knowledge article that is stored on the Web.

Type

The type of knowledge article that you are storing.

Subject

Enter a subject line that can be used when the knowledge article is sent in an e-mail message.

Memo

Enter the note to be included when the knowledge article is sent in an e-mail message.
