Customer payment management fee (form) [AX 2012]

Click Accounts receivable > Setup > Payment > Methods of payment. Click Payment step process. Select a payment step and then click Payment fee.

Use this form to specify the details of the payment fees for the payment step that is selected in the Payment step process form.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Overview

Create or view the identifications for payment fee handling for the payment step that is selected in the Payment step process form.

General

View information for the payment fee that is selected on the Overview tab.

Field

Description

Identification

Enter an identification for the fee.

Description

Enter a description for the fee.

Fee description

Enter a description for the transaction.

Charge

Select whether to charge the customer or use a financial cost.

  • Customer – Post the fee to the customer account.

  • Ledger – Post the fee to the account that is specified in the Main account field.

Main account

If Ledger is selected in the Charge field, select a main account for posting in the ledger.

Method of payment

Select a method of payment that will be used for the actual payment fee.

Payment step identification

The identification of the step in the payment flow.

Groupings

Select a method to use to select bank information:

  • Table – The fee is valid for the bank account that is selected in the Bank relation field.

  • Group – The fee is valid for the bank group that is selected in the Bank relation field.

  • All – The fee is valid for all the bank accounts.

Bank relation

Select a bank relation:

  • Select a bank account if Table is selected in the Groupings field.

  • Select a bank group if Group is selected in the Groupings field.

  • Leave this field blank if All is selected in the Groupings field.

From date

The start of the date interval for the fee calculation.

To date

The end of the date interval for the fee calculation.

Minimum

Enter the minimum transaction amount to activate the fee.

Maximum

Enter the maximum transaction amount to activate the fee.

Percentage/Amount

Select a calculation method of Amount or Percent, and then enter the fee amount or percentage in the Fee amount field.

Currency

The currency code for the fee.

Fee amount

The size of the fee as a percentage of the payment or amount, depending on the selection in the Percentage/Amount field. The percentage or amount is for one payment.

Sales tax group

If Ledger is selected in the Charge field, you can select a sales tax group to generate the relevant sales taxes. If sales tax is calculated, the net amount is posted on a ledger account, and the sales tax amount is posted on a sales tax account.
