Item sales tax groups (form) [AX 2012]

Click General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Item sales tax groups.

Use this form to set up and manage item sales tax groups.

Because sales taxes are generally determined by items, you can indicate how sales tax is calculated for each item.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Recalculate sales taxes for unposted transactions that use the selected sales tax groups, or for all unposted transactions.

Item sales tax group

Enter a short code or identifier for the item sales tax group.

Description

Enter a description of the item sales tax group.

Reporting type

Select where the item sales tax line amount will be included on the European Union (EU) sales list:

  • Blank – The sales tax line amount is included in the Not assigned value column.

  • Item – The sales tax line amount is included in the Items value column.

  • Service – The sales tax line amount is included in the Services value column.

  • Investment – The sales tax line amount is included in the Investment value column. This column is relevant only for Belgium.

Sales tax code

View or modify the sales tax codes that are associated with the selected item sales tax group. The sales tax codes were set up in the Sales tax codes form.

Percentage/Amount

Enter the percentage or amount per unit that is calculated for the sales tax code.
