Click Sales and marketing > Setup > Opportunities > Prognosis.

Use this form to create and maintain prognosis codes for quotations.

A company uses the following setup for quotation prognoses. This setup represents the company's business process and sales experiences.

The company's salesperson creates a quotation on May 1, 2004, and sets the prognosis code to 2-3 months.

The quotation is expected to take at least 31 days to become a sales order (May 1 + 31 days, or June 1, 2004), or at most 90 days (May 1 + 90 days. or July 29, 2004).

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Prognosis

The prognosis code. The prognosis code reflects the time that it is expected to take for the quotation to become a sales order.

Prognosis from days

The minimum number of days of the prognosis code until the quotation is expected to become a sales order, measured from the quotation date.

Prognosis to days

The maximum number of days of the prognosis code until the quotation is expected to become a sales order, measured from the quotation date.

Description

A more precise description of the prognosis code for the quotation.
