Picking line (form)

This topic applies to features in the Inventory management module. It does not apply to features in the Warehouse management module.

Click Inventory management > Setup > Inventory breakdown > Inventory locations. Click Inquiries > Picking lines.

Use this form to display information about picking route lines.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Inventory

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Transactions – View the inventory transactions for the item or the lot.

  • Dimensions display – Select the inventory dimensions to display in this form.

Functions

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Split – Divide a picking line into two parts. You might do this if you want to pick different inventory dimensions.

  • Cancel picking line – Cancel the picking line. The picking line is removed from the delivery and must be added to a new delivery.

Route

The route that the transaction belongs to.

Handling status

The status of the transaction. The following statuses are used:

  • Registered – The transaction is associated with a shipment but is not yet reserved.

  • Activated – The transaction is released for consignment but is not yet started.

  • Started – The shipment is started but is not finished.

  • Picked – Items for the shipment have been picked.

  • Staged – The shipment can be rearranged or consolidated.

  • Loaded – The shipment has been loaded on a truck or in a container.

  • Completed – The shipment is finished.

  • Canceled – The shipment was canceled.

Item number

The identifier of the item.

Configuration

The item configuration, which specifies an item that has specific characteristics.

Size

The size of the item.

Site

The site in which you store the items.

Warehouse

The warehouse in which you store the items.

Batch number

The batch number dimension.

Serial number

The serial number dimension.

Quantity

The quantity of the item for the transaction.

Inventory order

The identifier of the inventory order of the transaction on the picking line.

Type

The handling type for the inventory order. The following options are available:

  • Consolidated picking – All orders in the batch are picked in one pass.

  • Pallet transport – Internal displacement of items in inventory is supported by using pallet transports.

  • Order picking – Items are picked per order.

Lot ID

The lot number of the transaction on the inventory order.

Reference

The module where the transaction was generated.

Number

The order number, project number, or production number.

Customer

The customer or vendor account number.

Address

The delivery address of the customer.

Item sort code

The sorting code for the item. The sorting code is used to sort picking route lines.

Sort code

The sorting code for the picking location.

Volume

The volume of the items for the transaction.

Estimated handling time

The expected time that it takes to pick the items. This value is automatically generated, depending on the information that you provided for the warehouse.

Handling time

The actual time that is used to complete the transaction. This information is entered automatically.

Worker

The operator who handled the transaction.

Picking pallet

The pallet ID of the pallet where the items are put when they are picked.

Shipment

The identifier of the shipment that the transaction is associated with.

Original shipment

The identifier of the shipment that was previously associated with the transaction before the transaction was moved to the new shipment. If the shipment was not moved, this value is the same as the value in the Shipment field.

Requested ship date

The date that the items must be shipped to meet the customer’s requested delivery date.

Color

The color of the item.

Location

The location inside a warehouse where the items are stored.

Pallet ID

The unique ID for the pallet.
