Customer balance (form)

Click Accounts receivable > Common > Customers > All customers. Select a customer account. On the Action Pane, click Balance.

Use this form to view customer balance information, such as credit limits, credit remaining, amounts ordered, and amounts on packing slips. If the credit limit type is set to None in the Credit rating area of the Accounts receivable parameters form, credit information is not displayed.

Description

Open transactions

Open the Customer transactions form, where you can view information about a customer's open transactions.

Details

Open the Customer transactions form, where you can view details about a customer's transactions, such as invoices, payments, interest, collection letters, and foreign currency revaluation transactions. Amounts are displayed in the accounting currency.

Aging periods

Open the Aging period definition statistics form, where you can view aging period definition statistics for open customer transactions. Amounts are displayed in the accounting currency.

Fields

Field

Description

Name

The identifier and name of the customer. The name is printed on documents, such as invoices and customer statements.

Billing classification

The billing classification that is assigned to the transaction.

This control is available only if the Public Sector configuration key is selected.

Currency

The default currency code for the customer.

Balance

The amount that the customer owes, in the currency that is shown in the Currency field in the Customer balance field group.

Payments

The amount that the customer has paid.

Total

The amount of the customer's credit limit minus the current balance.

Show

Select one of the following filter settings:

  • All – Display all transactions.

  • Letter of credit – Display only letter of credit transactions.

  • Import collection – Display only import collection transactions.

The default selection is All.

Note

This field is available only if the Enable import letter of credit or Enable export letter of credit check box is selected in the General ledger parameters form.

Description

Information about the customer. This includes the account balance, credit limit, credit remaining, balance in the currency of the customer, and orders. The selections that you make in the Credit rating area the Accounts receivable parameters form affect the information that is displayed in this field.

  • Balance in currency – The amount that the customer owes, in the currency of the customer.

  • Accounting currency balance – The total amount that the customer owes.

  • Ordered – The amount that has been ordered, but not yet delivered.

  • Packing slip – The amount of an order that has been delivered, as indicated on the packing slip, but that has not been invoiced.

  • Credit limit – The customer's credit limit, in the accounting currency.

  • Credit remaining – The remaining credit that the customer has, based on the original credit limit minus the current balance that the customer owes.

Balance currency

The amount that the customer owes, in the currency of the customer.
