Updated: November 27, 2010

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

Click Human resources > Periodic > Time and attendance > Create planned absence.

Use this form to register absences for a group of workers for a specific period of time.

For example, if a team has planned summer vacation from July 1 to July 15, the supervisor can create absence registrations for all team members in advance. The selected absence code is inserted automatically when the workers’ registrations are calculated, which means that the supervisor does not have to insert the absence code manually each day in the period.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Opens the Worker form, where you select a group of workers to create planned absences for.

From date

Select the starting date for the absence registration.

To date

Select the ending date for the absence registration.

Select the starting time for the absence registration, if required.

For example, if workers get the afternoon off one day next week, you could enter a planned absence registration, and set the starting time to 12:00.

Select an ending time for the absence registration, if required.

Absence job

Select the type of absence registration.

Select this check box to automatically interrupt an absence registration if a worker clocks in before the specified ending date or time.

Select this check box to create one planned absence registration for each day.

If you clear this check box, only one registration for the entire period is created in the Absence registration form.
