This article continues the coverage of all features that can be viewed from Exchange System Manager (ESM) or Active Directory Users and Computers in Microsoft® Exchange Server 2003 before Service Pack 2 (SP2). This article (as well as its companion articles, Introduction to Exchange Server 2003 ESM Features - Part 1 and Introduction to Exchange Server 2003 ESM Features - Part 3) can be used as a quick reference to where to find features in the ESM user interface. More information about these features can generally be found in the Exchange Server 2003 Help file.
In Exchange Server 2003 ESM, right-click your Organization and then click Internet Mail Wizard to set up the server for Internet Mail.
From ESM, under the Global Settings object, right-click the Message Delivery object and then select Properties.
You will see three additional tabs available: Sender Filtering, Connection Filtering, and Recipient Filtering.
From ESM, under the Global Settings object, right-click the Mobile Services object and then view Properties.
Note that when you right-click the Mobile Services object, you can create a new mobile carrier.
Additional language templates have been added to Exchange Server 2003: Bulgarian, Catalan, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Serbian.
From Exchange Server 2003 ESM, under the Recipients object, click Details Templates and Address Templates to see the added language templates.
From ESM, under the Server object, click the Queues object to see additional queue types exposed. You can disable outbound mail and search for messages from here as well as change the refresh rate for queue viewer.
From ESM, select the Server object, expand the Protocols container, expand the HTTP container, and then select Exchange Virtual Server. Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync and OMA have been added as virtual directories.
In ESM, view the properties of the Exchange Virtual Server object itself. On the Settings tab, you can select Enable Forms-based Authentication and, if that is enabled, you can select the compression mode.
In ESM, select the Server object, expand the Protocols container, expand the HTTP container, select Exchange Virtual Server, and then view the properties of the Exchange virtual directory.
From the Access tab, use the Authentication button to view and select the authentication methods.
From ESM, select the Server object and, under Server Protocols, expand SMTP and view the Properties of the SMTP Virtual Server. Select the Messages tab.
In ESM, from the Server Protocols container, right-click Properties for the X.400 object.
